Calderdale Council Coat of Arms Lapel Pin Badges & Cufflinks

Calderdale Council Coat Of Arms

The Calderdale Council Coat of Arms were granted and assigned on 1st November 1977 when Borough status was conferred on the Council.

The Council are very proud of the new Coat of Arms and wanted to create something that would create a talking point. They wanted a visual way to show off the new Coat of Arms. It was decided that a lapel pin badge would be a discrete way to show off the Coat of Arms. They are presented to visitors to the Council and also sold in their information centre.

Before the Coat of Arms was put into badge form, House of Logos design team produced some pre-production artwork to show the Council exactly how it would look before it went into full production. This was particularly useful when deciding on what colour to use as the background. The Council were delighted to see how much detail could be captured on such a small enamel badge and were happy to go into full production. The Council were so pleased with the result that they frequently reorder the lapel pins and also order cufflinks and bookmarks, as they can be produced from the same tooling.
