A trust fund has been set up to help support Danny’s wife Lizzie Jones and their family. Friends of Danny and Lizzie wanted to do a little more so the Halifax Amateur Operatic Society decided to put on a concert at The Victoria Theatre Halifax in aid of the Danny Jones Trust.

The concert was called Danny Jones One in a Million. Hosted by TV personality Neil Hurst, the night was a mixture of singing, music and a little comedy performed by Billy Pearce.

Tenors of RockSpecial guest artists were The Tenors of Rock who recently performed in Las Vegas, Lizzie and Gareth Richards of Tenors of Rock performed Andrea Bocelli’s The Prayer.

A special ‘Danny Jones one in a Million’ badge was designed and produced by House of Logos, shaped as a rugby ball it depicted Danny’s shirt number 6 and had the text One in a Million around the edge. Danny Jones Badge The badges were worn by all the choir and also sold at the concert helping the Halifax Amateur Operatic Society raise over £8000.00 for the fund.

The evening was a real tribute to one of Rugby Leagues heroes who was tragically taken from us. A big thanks must go out to Laraine Cowgill and all who helped organise the event.
